Pine-Mills-Pottery > Gary & Daphne Hatcher on the steps of their 120 cubic foot Bourry Box wood fired kiln. Fired to Cone 12 in reduction, the firing requires about 3 cords of mixed hardwoods. The kiln is stoked every five to ten minutes for 24 hours. It then takes 2-3 days to cool before it can be opened.
