Pine-Mills-Pottery  > Gary C. Hatcher > The Bourry Box Wood Fired Kiln
The 120 cubic foot Bourry Box kiln at Pine Mills Pottery requires 2-3 cords of hardwood, slowly fed into the kiln over 24 hours to reach a temperature of 2450 F. The kiln then cools for nearly three days before it can be opened to reveal the fired pots within.
